There’s been a lot of talk lately about a zero-emission car that won’t have an impact on our environment. However, there hasn’t been much action in the media about this topic. But there are, in fact, a lot of major products and advances being made on our modern vehicles. So, why aren’t we funding this ingenious technological advancement? Well, Toyota has been looking forward to a whole new lineup of vehicles that will be eco-friendly. Over the past 10 model years of Toyota vehicles sold in the US, 11 billion fewer gallons of gas have been consumed. In 1997, Toyota introduced the Prius, the first mass-produced hybrid car. Over the course of 10 years after that, they sold over a million hybrids worldwide. That resulted in estimated savings of millions of gallons in gasoline and billions of pounds of CO2 kept out of our atmosphere.
Every day Toyota spends $23 million to research environmental technologies that will help our gas troubles in the future. This is a great milestone to helping out our issues with Global Warming and other environmental troubles. If evil gas corporations just stopped bribing these environmental friendly crusaders to not sell their very helpful inventions for our cars to stop using too much gas so they can make money, then maybe we can be driving around in our nonpolluting cars and instead of being extremely filthy rich those corporations can be moderately filthy rich. That’s what I have to say about that.

It seems stupid that auto companies are still producing non-hybrid cars. I think that if all cars were given an option to be hybrid, people would definitely choose this option. It seems as if Toyota is the only car company that is really trying to protect the enviornment and they aren’t even an American car company. The American companies should be focusing more on fixing this problem; after all, it is their country.

While I think that hybrids are a good thing for the environment I belive that its everyones choice wether or not to use one. If they had a hybrid that looked real cool and had the power of a gas powered vehicle id be all over that car. Also i dont think that the oil companies are evil theyre corporations after all and their responsibility isnt to the environment but to make money for themselves and their shareholders.

Great first post my brotha!
I think Toyota is being the first true environment friendly car producers. It is a large step to encourage other companies to follow, and hopefully allow the people to benefit from the savings, and smaller amounts of pollution.
However, the cost of producing complete batter run vehicles can be hard to pay for upfront. This is why Hybrids are an excellent choice to combine both gas use and batter operation.
Toyota for the win.

Great first post bff! I too think it is a great stride for the car companies to be working so diligently on something as important as this. It is vital that we work to try and clean up the air that we’ll have for the rest of our lives. This was very informative. You did a fantastic job!

Well put. Why arent we doing more to build eco-friendly cars? The required sciences have been avalable to us for sometime now. Its important to realize the car manufacturers and petrol companies walk hand and hand together. I think Car Companies are just was the backs of Gas Companies, with a bit of monetary incentive. The only green most these people think about is the green that goes in their wallet.
